Tour Description
Raikot Tours’ Hunza Patundas Trek climbs to one of the most spectacular high pastures in the Karakoram. Patundas Top (approximately 4,300m / 14,107 ft) is a summer meadow in Gojal, Upper Hunza, dramatically wedged between the mighty Passu and Batura glaciers. From the top, trekkers are rewarded with 360° views of the Passu Cones (Cathedral Peak), Shispare, Passu Sar, Batura Sar and the vast rivers of ice on either side.
The trek begins near Borith Lake (close to Gulmit and Passu on the Karakoram Highway) and follows a steep ascent through pasture and moraine, including a technical glacier crossing. It is a moderate-to-challenging route best attempted between June and September, ideal for trekkers wanting a genuine glacier-country experience without a full expedition commitment.

Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Islamabad. Drive along the Karakoram Highway to Besham / Chilas. Overnight.
Day 2: Continue to Karimabad, Hunza. Check in and evening orientation walk. Overnight.
Day 3: Drive up the KKH to Gulmit and Borith Lake in Gojal. Short acclimatisation walk around the lake. Overnight near Borith / Passu.
Day 4: Trek day. Steep ascent from Borith Lake to Patundas (4,300m) with a glacier crossing. Spend time at the top for panoramic views of the Passu and Batura glaciers. Descend to camp. Overnight.
Day 5: Reserve / exploration day around the Passu and Batura glaciers, or descend and return to Karimabad. Overnight in Hunza.
Day 6: Visit Attabad Lake and Passu Cones, plus Baltit and Altit Forts in Karimabad. Drive back towards Besham/Chilas. Overnight.
Day 7: Drive back to Islamabad. Trek concludes.
