Tour Description
The Snow Lake Trek is one of Pakistan’s most remote and extraordinary high-altitude adventures. Raikot Tours takes you to Snow Lake (Lukpe Lawo) — a vast glacial basin at approximately 5,000 metres, located at the head of the Biafo Glacier in the Karakoram. Together with the Hispar Glacier, the Biafo forms the longest glacial highway outside the polar regions at over 120 km.
This is a demanding, technical trek that requires good physical fitness, high-altitude experience, and proper equipment. The reward is incomparable: an ancient ice world of towering seracs, deep crevasses, and a silence broken only by the crack of glacial ice — surrounded by peaks exceeding 7,000 metres on every horizon.

Trek Itinerary
Days 1–2: Islamabad to Skardu (flight or drive). Rest and preparation. Overnight in Skardu.
Day 3: Jeep drive from Skardu to Askole (approx. 8 hours). Overnight at Askole.
Days 4–6: Trek from Askole along the Biafo Glacier through moraine camps. Progressive altitude gain. Overnight at camps.
Days 7–8: Reach Snow Lake Basin (5,000m). Stunning views of Ogre (7,285m) and surrounding peaks. Overnight at high camp.
Day 9: Cross Hispar Pass (5,151m). Descend onto the Hispar Glacier. Overnight at camp.
Days 10–12: Trek down the Hispar Glacier to Hispar Village. Overnight at camps.
Day 13: Jeep drive from Hispar to Nagar / Karimabad, Hunza. Overnight in Hunza.
Days 14–15: Drive back to Islamabad via KKH. Trek concludes.
